Más Arte Más Acción
Más Arte Más Acción has been working since 2009 as a platform for interdisciplinary artistic projects that explore wide-ranging social and environmental issues. By stimulating cultural exchange and dialogue, this non-profit organization seeks to cultivate accessible artistic practice and critical thinking in Colombia, specifically towards activist ends.
The foundation’s base in Nuquí, Chocó in the Colombian Pacific region has long been a crucial source of multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary inspiration for local artists and artisans to explore wide-ranging social and environmental issues by considering, through art, the construction of other possible worlds and more positive futures for all. MAMA builds networks with funders, universities, festivals, art institutions, and local communities to sustain the ideas and processes of critical thinking— all within a greater thematic context of land disputes and environmental health.
