Fin de UN mundO

Fin de UN mundO is a movement of artists dedicated to supporting and creating interventions in public spaces with high-impact, highly-visible actions that draw on multiple artistic languages (performance, theatricality, dance, music, audiovisual, and more). There is not a single aspect of organizing that Fin de UN mundO doesn’t cover. In the collective’s WhatsApp group, political activists can find resources covering the basics of any artistic protest: how to make costumes, tips on make-up, assistance with hair, shoes… anything imaginable, for the sake of public interventions geared towards activist initiatives and artistic protest stratagies. If something is needed, especially for artistic and activist purposes, Fin de UN mundO finds a way to provide it, often via coalition building, mutual aid, and collaborative workshopping.

At the core of the Fin de UN mundO movement is the message: “Build with care: let all the materials we bring into our changing rooms be pleasant to the touch and skin, and let them allow us to inhabit body and movement comfortably and joyfully.” With adequate nurturing and support, Fin de UN mundO believes that any public artistic activism initiative can gain momentum and enact material change. Most recently, the collective has undertaken several public protest initiatives against state sanctioned systemic violence, including the ongoing 2025 feminist, anti-fascist, and anti-racist public campaign and collaboration with LASTESIS, an Internationally recognized Chilean feminist artistic activist collective.

24M Rivers of Memory, Truth and Justice: Day of Remembrance for Truth and Justice
March 24, the anniversary of General Videla’s military coup, has been declared a Day of Remembrance for Truth and Justice in Argentina to pay tribute to the 30,000 dead and missing during the general’s bloody military dictatorship from 1976 to 1983. On March 24th, 2019, hundreds of thousands of people took to the streets to say “Nunca más” (“Never again”), especially spurred, that year, because of the rising rates of state sanctioned violence in South America, especially through the police. Fin de UN mundO, a key participant group in the wider event, organized and staged various performative interventions, including public dance and performance pieces. Since 2019, Fin de UN mundO has partaken in 24M protests every year (with exceptions in 2020 and 2021, due to the Covid-19 Pandemic), orchestrating large-scale performance pieces with hundreds of artistic activists, including dancers, singers, and more.
