Unsettled Zine

Unsettled is a community, platform, and zine based in New York and with outreach in New Zealand, the Cherokee Reservation in Oklahoma, in the Muwekma Ohlone land in California, in Inuit community/lands across Canada and Arctic Circle, and more. The organization was born out of a need for an Indigenous-led space where Native artists could engage with current issues, share stories, and foster community dialogue.

The founding members found and witnessed a gap in Indigenous student media and aimed to change that. As such, they founded Unsettled to be a platform in 2024 for the sake of platforming Native perspectives, culture, and resistance while connecting Indigenous students and allies. The organization is centered around their social media platforms, zine, and community events, which are held in NYC.
